The practical verdict

Bond is a strong shortlist option if you value its established educational content and want to compare a straightforward question-bank route with its personalised Premium products. Smart Cub Learning is an alternative for a family seeking interactive lessons, one subscription for up to 4 children and a connected learner and adult view. Decide which Bond product you mean before comparing price or adaptivity.

Where Smart Cub may suit you

  • You want to see lesson steps, completed work and saved explanations together.
  • You are choosing a family plan rather than separate learner licences.
  • You prefer to explore the four common 11+ subjects in a single child workspace.

Start with the edition, not the logo

A parent who likes Bond books may assume the online products are interchangeable. They are not the same purchase. Write down the product name and confirm which website delivers the learning, where the parent signs in and which tests are included.

The Premium and Premium Plus distinction matters especially when preparing for independent-school assessments. Buy the coverage required by your actual target schools rather than a familiar brand name alone.

Compare how a topic is taught

Try a topic your child has recently misunderstood. First use the teaching material, then ask them to solve a fresh example without replaying the worked answer. Notice whether the difficulty changes helpfully or simply produces more questions.

Our screenshots show a concept slide, a mission path and a saved explanation. Compare the amount of reading, the clarity of the worked method and how easily a child can find their next task. Preference and understanding matter more than the number of screen features.

Use books and digital practice deliberately

If you already own suitable Bond books, use them as a specific resource rather than buying another digital subscription by default. A book can be useful for written working; an online product can make feedback and records easier to revisit.

Keep one short topic list shared with the child or tutor. You can practise an idea digitally and later check it on paper, while avoiding two unrelated schedules that repeat the same work without explaining what improved.

Try the teaching, right here

Explore a real Smart Cub exercise with your child. This public sample is not an assessment: nothing is saved to a learner account and it does not award mastery.

Compare the amount you would actually pay

Change the preparation period, learner count and plan. Annual and multi-month commitments are counted in full, even when you intend to use fewer months.

Published annual prices are £247.92 for Premium and £347.92 for Premium Plus. Standard Bond Online is a separate product; check its own current price.

Bond Online · Bond Online Premium, annual

The reviewed page describes a subscription for each child. Annual cost is charged in full; standard Bond Online is not priced by this calculator. Complete billing periods are counted. Family licences are rounded up; unverified discounts are excluded. Price alone does not compare teaching quality or admission chances.

Compare the service as well as the amount

Bond Online, Premium and Premium Plus are distinct offers. This page does not treat standard Bond Online as if it had every Premium feature, or imply that Smart Cub is an ISEB-endorsed product.

Our published Standard subscription price is £14.99 monthly for up to 4 children. Check every Smart Cub plan inclusion before choosing.

No. Bond describes standard online practice and separate Premium products developed with CENTURY. Compare the named product and its inclusions.

Does an annual monthly equivalent mean monthly billing?

No. The reviewed Premium prices are annual commitments. The calculator shows the full billed period even if you only plan to use it for a few months.

Should we stop using Bond books?

Not necessarily. Suitable books can complement digital teaching and feedback. Check the edition and exam format, and give each resource a clear purpose.
