What to do after the 2027-entry Tiffin School tests
- Tiffin School's FAQ said it aimed to email the Stage One outcome on or around 15 October 2026. Its key dates page said parents would be told on 16 October 2026 whether their son was invited to Stage Two. The two pages differ, so use the date in the school's email. Stage Two is on 12 November 2026 for boys who are invited.
- The school says to name Tiffin School on your home council's application form if your son was invited to Stage Two. If he was not invited and you named the school, that application is ineligible and uses one of your choices. The school gives 31 October 2026 as the form deadline. An invitation does not guarantee a place.
- Your local council sends offers on 1 March 2027. The school says it emails Stage Two scores soon after National Offer Day to parents of boys who were not offered a place.

1. Stage One sifting test
English and Mathematics are computer-marked, standardised, age-weighted and averaged to determine invitations to Stage Two. The school determines a cohort sufficient to meet PAN after coordination. The determined policy specifies a 10% leeway for specified looked-after, pupil-premium, sport-aptitude and music-aptitude applicants who live in the Priority Area.

Scoring and eligibility
Stage One English and Mathematics marks are standardised, age-weighted and averaged to set the Stage Two invitation cohort. The policy does not publish a fixed invitation score. A 10% leeway applies to specified qualifying applicants living in the Priority Area. The final Combined Score is 50% English and 50% Mathematics; the English component is the Stage Two English score, while the Mathematics component combines Stage One and Stage Two Maths scores in a 2:3 ratio. Places are ranked under the policy's Selection Criteria and PAN 180. The school's FAQ describes an intake of 186, so confirm the number of places with the school. A test invitation or qualifying score does not guarantee an offer.
