The Latymer School Year 7 entrance assessment 11+ guide

1. The school said Maths and Verbal Reasoning results would be published through Applicaa+ and school communications before the end of September 2026. Normally, children ranked in the top 700 then have their English paper marked. Their re-standardised result is emailed before the end of October 2026.
2. Name The Latymer School on the Common Application Form issued by your home council, and check that council's closing date. Your home council tells you the outcome on National Offers Day, early in March 2027.
3. Only children living in the published Inner Area postcodes are admitted. A child who lived outside the area when registering must give evidence of a new Inner Area address by Thursday 7 January 2027. A test rank is not a place offer.

1. 1. Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning assessment

   All registered applicants sit one in-person session on one allocated day, 3, 4 or 5 September 2026. The two GL multiple-choice papers take 30 minutes each. Their age-standardised scores are combined and ranked. Normally, candidates ranked in the top 700 have their English paper marked; the policy allows a top-900 threshold for specified oversubscription categories.

2. 2. English marking and final ranking

   For candidates whose English paper is marked, the school-set English score is combined with the Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning results and re-standardised. The school allocates places under its oversubscription criteria and 192-place PAN.

GL age-standardises the Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning results. The normal English-marking threshold is the top 700 combined Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning rank; specified priority applicants have a top-900 threshold. English scores are added and the results are re-standardised for candidates whose English is marked. Offers are made by rank under the published oversubscription criteria, subject to PAN 192. Meeting a test threshold does not guarantee an offer. Inner Area residence is an admissions criterion, and applicants registering from outside the area must provide evidence of an eligible new address by 7 January 2027 to be considered under the published rules.
