Scoring and eligibility
Applicants need a total score of at least 220 in Caistor's two Verbal Reasoning tests to qualify; the school says this is the county-wide standard designed to identify the upper 25% ability range. Qualification is not an offer. If oversubscribed, the school applies its own criteria: EHCP, looked-after status, in-catchment status within 6.5 straight-line miles, up to 12 Pupil Premium Ever 6 places including those already allocated in catchment, then remaining qualified applicants ranked by Verbal Reasoning score with policy-defined score tie-breaks. This is Caistor's own threshold and does not make it a member of the shared LCGS test route.
